    Position Overview

    The Intern, Industrial Engineering will receive a hands on experience streamlining warehouse operations in our grocery facilities. Objectives range in scope to include, automation design and feasibility studies, physical data capture techniques using mobile devices, deployment of process improvement strategies and operational startups. The successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills and must be able to work in a fast pace team environment. This role requires working with operations management, systems integration and facilities/automation teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead/support project/program goals and objectives
    • Contribute to multiple team projects across a national platform
    • Support data analytics for various software programs (WMS, TMS, LMS, NO [Network Optimization], Warehouse Simulation, etc)
    • Translate and present data into meaningful project design and execution work
    • Communicate with Industrial Engineering and business teams
    • Support miscellaneous customer driven projects as needed

    Qualifications

    • Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar discipline
    • Strong math, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and SQL
    • Willingness to learn and share knowledge
    • Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects
    • Ability to support project work across multiple shifts
    • Heavy travel may be required and requires a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
